Public can observe occultation of Jupiter this Sunday
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 9 (Bernama) – The public can observe the occultation of Jupiter on Sunday from 2.20am until 3:20am, says the National Space Agency (Angkasa).
The statement the said the whole of Malaysia can observe Jupiter covered by the moon for about one hour depending on the location.
People of Sabah and Sarawak can observe the whole process while those in Peninsular Malaysia can catch the phenomenon towards the end.
The statement said the phenomenon can be observed using the naked eye and not special equipment and last occurred on Feb 23, 2009.
